Polar Bear Protection

The article, “US Seeks Tougher Protection for the Polar Bear”, was written on October 16, 2009 by the Associated Press. This article also pertains to my topic of endangered species because it talks about how the government is trying to put a limit on the amount of international trade of bear fur and other parts of the bear. The polar bear was classified as a threatened species just last year. There are also pointers in this article that talk about global warming as a concern for animals’ habitats in the arctic and subarctic regions.
