I Love College?

I have begun to realize what people had tried to tell me all those years in high school: study. During high school, I never really took the time to pick up the book and actually reread the chapters or retype my notes or anything like that. This habit had grown on me because I would always get a B or C+ on a test. These first few weeks at BSU have shown me that I really can't just walk into the classroom on the day of a test without studying because there will be consequences! I think it took my first week of exams to realize that. I'm really kicking it into high gear now and hopefully I will be fine for the rest of my college career. It will be hard to kick the old habit of not picking up the book before a test, but these next four years will lead into the rest of my life!

  1. I am the exact same way. After my first test it was like a kick in the ass. Now, I'm realizing now that I have to actually study for things now and get help at the student center or I won't be here at semester. hah

  3. Yeah old habits die hard but if you really commit and stick with it im sure your studying will improve so much. I have some of the same habits I do pick up my book before a test, but it isn't till the night before. Then
i'm just staying up late trying to cram a bunch of info into my head. When I get to the test it seems I can't remember anything and don't do as well as I could have. So try not to procrastinate too much and I'm sure your next 4 years will go just fine.

  4. Yeah same here the first exam I took was rough but after awhile you get the hang of things. You cant get away with cramming before college exams like you could in high school. You must learn how to manage your time wisely and get your study habits down to be successful in college.
